WWE Draft 2020: 10 Trades That MUST Happen
10. Ricochet To SmackDown
Ricochet's time in WWE has really been a mixed bag ever since he was called up from NXT, where he was a megastar. Unfortunately, like many others, Vince doesn't see that in him. Few opportunities have been thrown his way, apart from the Universal Title squashing at the hands of Brock Lesnar, but was that really an opportunity?
WWE could make this right the second time around if they trade him to a brand that would give him a bigger spotlight and potentially a strong push. Why not send him back to NXT though? Because NXT has moved on from Ricochet, there simply isn't any room for him anymore. They're too busy establishing new stars such as Bronson Reed, Damian Priest, Santos Escobar, and many more. SmackDown, although, has been pushing new stars left, right, and center with Big E and Jey Uso stepping up to bigger things as singles stars.
Ricochet can have more room to breathe on Friday nights. Instead of revolving door feuds, he can sink his teeth into something meaningful. The Intercontinental Title scene would love to have him, the 'One and Only' could be mixing it up weekly with AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Matt Riddle and others. Wwho wouldn't wanna see that?
