8. Curtis Axel And The Miz Make An Intriguing Team
After tapping out to Cesaro, The Miz got on the mic and started complaining about how he didnt tap, leading to the you tapped out chants before Curtis Axel made his way out, presumably to confront The Miz. This was interesting because Axel had recently complained on Twitter about his spot, and this could potentially bring him back into relevancy. Swerving the crowd, Axel told the crowd to shut up, and went on to praise Miz and talk about their individual accomplishments and how theyd work great as a team. Soon The Big Show came out and made relatively short work of the duo in a two-on-on handicap match with a double chokeslam. Yes, Show was a babyface in this exchange, seriously this guy could be pinned with a schizophrenia gimmick with the amount of personalities he seems to have. I must say, however, the prospect of Miz and Axel teaming up is interesting. Its possible that theyre just doing it for the sake of the tour, but we know The Miz is decent when it comes to tag-team wrestling, and Curtis Axel would take anything he can get at this stage Id imagine, especially now that Axelmania is thankfully gone. There are a lot of teams in the company right now, but another could provide Miz and Axel both a means to get themselves back on the right track. On a side note: The Miz is the perfect guy to pull double duty on any given night. He's underrated as an in-ring performer, and his work as a heel knows no bounds. They chose the perfect guy to do this with Axel.
