Rating: This was a terrific way to open the show proper, even if it hardly got the crowd on their feet. It was a far cry from a typical WWE-style match and all the better for it: technical, methodical, and at times brutal as hell (especially that terrifying German Suplex to Bryan).

Bryan and Gulak have fantastic in-ring chemistry which was perfectly exploited here, and the match should hopefully do wonders for Gulak's stock in the company.

The fact he didn't tap out is encouraging that WWE has faith in him going forward. Had it gone for a few minutes longer this could've been genuinely great, but it was still a very strong showing indeed. We need to see these two fight again very soon. 7/10
