WWE Evolution: 10 Female Superstars That Must Return

10. Sable

While she wasn't one of the most capable in-ring competitors, Sable played a pretty big role in WWE during various eras. However, it's the villainous role she played during the Attitude Era that fans fondly remember. She made her first WWE appearance during WrestleMania XII in 1996. It didn't take her long to stand out from the crowd, and when she aligned herself with then real-life husband Marc Mero, she never looked back. She feuded with Jacqueline, and the two competed in a bikini contest, which ended up becoming one of Sable's more iconic moments.

Following WWE's first brand split, Sable returned to the company, where she was once again a heel. She feuded with Torrie Wilson, and also featured in a storyline that saw her become the mistress of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Following her short stint, she left the company again in 2004 to focus on her family.

Unfortunately, as much as we'd like the legendary diva to make an appearance at the upcoming PPV, it's unlikely to happen. Sable is emblematic of the company's old way of handling the female division, and simply doesn't fit in a show celebrating the emergence from that murky past. Stranger things have happened though and, with her husband Brock Lesnar frequently competing on WWE programming, now would be the perfect time for Sable to make yet another fabulous comeback.
