WWE Expected To Make $1 Billion In 2020, EC3 Says "You Have Been Warned"
WWE on track for a huge payday, as recently released superstar addresses the wrestling world.
In the aftermath of one of the bleakest days in WWE history, it appears that the company is still lined up to make 2020 a resounding financial success.
According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is currently on track to turn a $1 billion profit for the year. And Meltzer goes as far as to say that this huge windfall is on the way even if WWE doesn’t put on another Saudi Arabia show in the second half of 2020, doesn’t run another single house show, and doesn’t bring in even a single $ more in merchandising sales.
The point being, McMahon and Co. are set for another injection of Scrooge McDuck levels of cash in 2020, regardless of the company having now released over 100 employees across the WWE business as a whole.
One such person who was relieved of their WWE duties yesterday was EC3, and the former Impact World Champion has been quick to take to social media to warn the wrestling world of his next move.
Labelling himself Essential Character III, it remains to be seen just where EC3 will find himself once the wrestling business attempts to return to some sense of normalcy after the ongoing global chaos calms down.
Of all of the in-ring personnel released by WWE in its mass cull, EC3 is one of those who has the biggest upside for any potential suitor. This is a performer who will be a major ‘get’ for whichever wrestling company signs him up next, and it’s a crying shame that WWE didn’t do anything of note whatsoever after re-signing EC3 in 2018.
