Coming off the disappointing Wrestlemania match, not in the ring just it was overshadowed by other things on the card, this match won it back for me. Here these guys were given more time and allowed to put on a real show. The diverse weapons and set-spots allowed Punk and Jericho to tell their story correctly, the same story that was somewhat forgotten at their Wrestlemania match. Again, there was very little blood in this pairing but that doesn't stop it from being hardcore. Most current-era matches do not have that much blood content, unless it was produced via a "hard way" method. This is perhaps the best match from the Punk/Jericho series.
