WWE faces a major scheduling dilemma over the festive period, having opted against taping the Monday 26 December episode of Raw.

Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that plans are currently up in the air for this Boxing Day show. The promotion currently has two events scheduled for that date - in New York City and Columbus, Ohio - but both are being advertised for the company's holiday tour, with neither listed as a Raw taping.

Amongst the ideas being considered at the moment is taping two Raw episodes the previous week in Des Moines, Iowa. This would mean at least a six-hour show for fans attending on 19 December - and perhaps longer if WWE opts to tape a couple of Main Event episodes as well, as it typically does on Raw nights.

WWE has also considered running a Best of 2022 show, which would present fewer logistical challenges.

Expect an announcement on how WWE intends to handle the 26 December shows imminently.

Pre-Boxing Day, WWE doesn't currently have anything scheduled after 19 December, having opted to pretape the 23 December SmackDown the week prior.
