WWE Fans Jump The Barricade At NXT Sheffield

There's always one... Or two...

By Ross Tweddell /

Two fans tried to get into the ring during NXT's live show in Sheffield, England on Saturday night. The invaders attempted the jump the barricade during the NXT Tag Team Championship match between Jason Jordan and Chad Gable and champions Dash and Dawson. One fan was successful in doing so but NXT Producer Ryan Katz grabbed him before security intervened. The fan who made it over the railing was immediately thrown out to the utter joy of all those in attendance. The issue of fans getting involved with WWE shows was a hot topic earlier in the year after a number of hight profile incidents highlighted shortcomings in live event security. Who could forget Roman Reigns having a replica Money in the Bank briefcase thrown at him; Dean Ambrose being attacked after an episode of SmackDown; a fan joining Seth Rollins during his entrance live on RAW; or that fan who jumped the barricade to 'reveal' himself at the mystery partner of Reigns and Ambrose at Night of Champions. This latest incident has only brought the issue back into the spotlight. NXT's first ever British tour has got off to a flying start after a couple of stellar nights in Newcastle and Glasgow. Tour organisers will make sure this minor setback doesn't hinder the shows in Blackpool, Nottingham and Cardiff before Wednesday's TakeOver special in London.
