There were a few things nobody expected heading into Fastlane. Firstly, did anyone believe WWE would book a singles bout between R-Truth and Curtis Axel on the pay-per-view immediately before WrestleMania 32? Secondly, were there any fans who staunchly believed the 6-man tag-team battle booked for the under card would deliver? On the surface, the team of Ryback, Kane and The Big Show seems like a collection of giants WWE don't know what to do with. Whilst that's true, they defied expectations against Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman. Further to that point, The Wyatt Family were also key parts of what turned out to be a much better match than perhaps anyone expected it to be. Ryback looks motivated at the moment, and his new attire has freshened up his act a little. This screamed of killing time before WrestleMania, where Bray Wyatt will surely mix it up against Brock Lesnar. Nonetheless, it was a nice little diversion. This one had ugly stamped all over it, at least until the bell started ringing and that was shown to be misplaced negativity.
