Not long ago, Elimination Chamber was the final road block before WrestleMania (before the Roadblock live event special was added last year). Now we have Fastlane, and the show is returning once again in 2017.

On Sunday, 5 March, Fastlane will air from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.

As WrestleZone has noted, this will be the first non-WrestleMania pay-per-view that the company has ever aired in March.

No word yet on whether it's going to be a Raw, SmackDown or joint show. Right now it's rumored to be a SmackDown event, and with Royal Rumble taking place the month before (featuring both brands) they're unlikely to run three joint shows consecutively.

Last year's Fastlane featured Roman Reigns defeating Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar in the main event to become the number one contender to face Triple H at WrestleMania 32. The 2015 version had Roman Reigns defeating Daniel Bryan to solidify himself as the number one contender. If nothing else, it's unlikely The Roman Empire will main event the show three years in a row.

Tickets for Fastlane will go on sale 9 Dec. and the pre-sale password is "WWEPRE."
