WWE Fastlane 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

The "go home" episode of SmackDown on Tuesday did a poor job explaining why fans should care about Fastlane 2018.

Matches like Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rusev and Becky Lynch & Naomi vs. Natalya & Carmella feel like afterthoughts before they've even happened, and that's not good. It's almost like WWE realised they only had four matches planned for the pay-per-view, panicked and rescheduled some TV bouts for Sunday.

They also pretty much gave away Fastlane's main event (sans John Cena) and undermined the Women's Title match by booking Bobby Roode to butt in towards the end of the segment involving Charlotte Flair and Ruby Riott.

No, Fastlane does not look promising, and yes, it is the very definition of a throwaway show, but it won't be a disaster if SmackDown's writers make the right decisions. Time to lend a helping hand and do some fantasy booking...
