WWE Fastlane 2019: 8 Things We Learned
1. Nothing About Roman Reigns' Immediate Future
No Ambrose post-match attack to show Dean's true colours, no tense staredown with Seth Rollins to suggest he was muscling in on the Universal Title scene and nothing beyond a Shield fist to end the show. That was Roman Reigns' lot at Fastlane, and it hinted that WWE are finally keen to take things slow with the 'Big Dog'.
For how long? We'll see.
Fastlane told us nothing at all about Reigns' immediate future. He's unlikely to wrestle Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin or Drew McIntyre, and there's little chance Roman will be put in a low spot like the André The Giant Memorial cluster. Currently, the comeback king is without anything to do at WrestleMania.
In short, he's this year's John Cena, and that's a bit worrying. We'd rather Reigns was left off the card completely if he's only going to work a two-minute squash or do something else auxiliary. Knowing WWE as we do though, they'll have something in mind for him.
We just don't have a clue what yet.
