WWE Fastlane 2021 Hit By Streaming Issues
WWE Fastlane 2021 was plagued by streaming issues, but not on Peacock...
Last night's WWE Fastlane 2021 pay-per-view was hurt by streaming issues.
The problems started during the Kickoff Show, during which such media was ablaze with comments from fans encountering problems while watching the show. It appeared, after a while, that the issues had been solved, though they re-emerged later on as Shinsuke Nakamura wrestled Seth Rollins on the main card.
Per Wrestling Inc.'s Marc Middleton, the WWE Network's Roku app was hurt particularly badly, shutting down six times during the show.
WWE addressed the problems with the following tweet during the show:-
Any issues occurring with tonight’s broadcast of #WWEFastlane will be addressed in the future.
The promotion is yet to follow up on this.
Fastlane 2021 was the first WWE pay-per-view to go out on the Peacock streaming platform following the NBCU service's incorporation of old Network content last week. Interestingly, it was Network viewers who were affected, not those watching via Peacock, which bodes well for the new platform from a live viewing standpoint.
The WWE Network makes its full transition to Peacock in the United States on 5 April, which is also when the original service will shutdown.
