WWE Files GODLY New Trademark Application

WWE attempts to lock down new term for one of its main roster acts.

WWE has filed a new trademark application for "Valhalla" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Filed on 16 November, the application lists the following purpose (as found on the USPTO's searchable database):-

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen was listed as the Attorney of Record.

The term is likely to be applied to The Viking Raiders, given their constant references to Norse mythology's hall of the slain as part of their gimmick on SmackDown.

Erik and Ivar recently to television following a two-month absence, bringing Sarah Logan, Erik's real-life wife, with them. Logan had been out of WWE since April 2020, when she became one of the first casualties of brutal, company-wide releases blamed on "budget cuts" during a period of record profitability.
