WWE Filming MORE Cinematic Matches For Money In The Bank 2020?
What kind of cinematic mayhem awaits on 10 May?
WWE's recent forays into cinematic wrestling could continue at Money In The Bank 2020 on 10 May.
This is according to a new report found in Fightful's Wrestling Weekly column stating that the night's "matches were filmed in a more cinematic manner," though it's unclear if they'll be closer to WrestleMania 36's Firefly Fun House and Boneyard bouts or the recent Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano clash on NXT.
MITB 2020 will flip the usual format, as wrestlers will fight their way through and up Titan Tower until they reach the roof, above which the briefcases will be hung. Images of this unique set hit the internet on Tuesday.
Per the writeup, multiple wrestlers were flown to Stamford, CT to tape Money In The Bank content on Tuesday. Several bouts were filmed at once and the tapings went on until nearly midnight. The process was described as "tedious" by Fightful's sources, and an unknown "hiccup" forced taping to stop for "an undetermined period of time" before being settled.
As well as the two titular bouts, WWE has announced Universal Champion Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt, SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley vs. Tamina, and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins for the pay-per-view.
