The original face-painted tag-team, Hawk and Animal's menace was aided by those spiky shoulder pads. It's hard not to watch any of their performances (even as heels) and not be taken in by the duo's natural charisma. The Road Warriors were Mad Max movies come to life, and that only made them cooler.
