WWE Hall Of Fame Tag Team To Reunite?
Could this iconic tag team have one more run in them?
Could the legendary Dudley Boyz be about to reunite? D-Von Dudley isn't ruling it out...
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet (via WrestlingHeadlines.com), D-Von addressed the possibility of himself and Bubba teaming up once more.
As D-Von explained:
"Is there a possibility for the Dudley Boyz to ever get back into the ring again? I'll put it this way, I can say yes and I can say no. And I'll say this, in terms of like I told Bubba, I said, you know, the only thing is, I don't know about going up on the top rope and doing a Wazzup no more. I say [that] because, you know, I don't know how much my back... I'm not willing to put my back at risk like that. There are certain moves that I would have to fix. A 3D would be great; I could do a 3D no problem."
As alluded to by D-Von there, the WWE Hall of Famer underwent spinal surgery last year which saw his L4, L5 and L6 vertebrae fused. The legendary ECW favourite also suffered a stroke back in 2020, though it appears that he could now lace up his boots once again should the right opportunity present itself.
In terms of when D-Von last wrestled, that was at a December 2016 House of Glory show, where he and Bubba Ray came up short in a four-way match for the HOG Tag Team Titles; a match which also featured the Hardy Boyz, Private Party, and the EYFBO tandem of Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik.
The 50-year-old D'Von had spent the past several years working for WWE as a backstage producer, although his time in that role came to an end this past January.
Where D-Von's long-time partner is concerned, Bubba Ray - as Bully Ray - can nowadays be found competing for IMPACT Wrestling and the NWA.
