Well, he was obviously finished years ago judging the quality of his matches from about 2003, but Glenn Jacobs himself was referring to possibly running the ropes at least one more time despite moving into politics post-retirement.
Speaking to PWMania (h/t: Ewrestlingnews), the man with a complicated relationship with masks said;
“I’ll always leave that door open. In WWE we never say never. I don’t know what will happen. I do some stuff here and there in the WWE. That’s a part of me and it’s something I enjoy and want to do for the rest of my life. If it’s something in the ring, I don’t know. Maybe you have to ask Kane that question.”
Jacobs was voted Mayor of Knox County On May 1st, 2018, a position he holds to this today. 'The Big Red Machine' last appeared for WWE at SummerSlam 2022, where he announced the stadium attendance in his home state of Tennessee. Similarly, he appeared on the April 25, 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw from Knoxville, endorsing Bianca Belair and later caught up with former WrestleMania opponent Randy Orton.
Outside of a cameo in the 2021 Royal Rumble, his last match in the guise was the infamously useless Brothers Of Destruction/D-Generation X tag team clash from Crown Jewel 2018. As Glenn Jacobs, he also has he honour of one 24/7 title reign to his name.
