With Lita and Trish Stratus now set to compete at WrestleMania 39, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Madusa has detailed how she would like to step in the ring one more time for a retirement match.

Speaking with TV Insider (via WrestlingHeadlines.com), the three-time WWE Women's Champion made it clear that she would like to put a bow on her illustrious career with one final in-ring outing, and even mentioned Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair as potential opponents in such a bout.

As Madusa explained:

"I would love to have a retirement match. I'm not dissing any era, but there are other eras before the Attitude Era. There is still a woman under a WWE legends contract that they can do something with, but they chose not to. A retirement match would be wonderful. We see Trish Stratus and Lita all the time. I think those girls are great, but that's all we see. I'm not sick of them, I'm just sick at seeing them. I have high respect for those two women, but damn it, if it was them at 60 they would be pounding the pavement just as hard as I am."

Continuing on, the former Alundra Blayze added:

"It would have to be somebody I can have a great match with; that if I bump my head and forgot something, they can carry the match. Anything can happen. It could be Nattie, Beth Phoenix, a Rhea Ripley. Everyone wants to see Charlotte Flair and Madusa. I still think that would be phenomenal."

As it stands, the last match of Madusa's career was an appearance - under her Alundra Blayze moniker - in the 20-woman Battle Royal which was held at the Evolution PPV back in 2018. There, the veteran lasted just over three minutes before being eliminated by eventual winner Nia Jax.

Prior to that, the one-time AWA Women's Champion was last in action at WCW Fall Brawl 2000, where she teamed with Billy Kidman in a losing effort against Torrie Wilson and Shane Douglas in a scaffold contest. More recently, Madusa was one of the legends featured on Raw XXX earlier this year, although she was disappointingly only shown as part of a generic backstage poker game involving the likes of DDP, Baron Corbin, and Alpha Academy.
