It looks like WWE are done with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan as a tag team.

This is according to Dave Meltzer in a special WWE news update on Figure Four Online, with the writeup claiming that Rowan and Harper "have been broken up as an act."

While the 2019 WWE draft didn't put them together, this is still a considerable surprise as Harper has been by Rowan's side since returning to aid him at Clash of Champions on 15 September, with the duo facing Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at Hell In A Cell. Their run is now over after just one month back together, begging the question of why Luke was brought back onto television in the first place.

The 2019 draft saw Rowan sent to Raw while Harper went undrafted. This muddied their futures but didn't necessarily mean they'd been split as Luke's status meant he was free to join Raw or SmackDown as he pleased. It would have been easy for WWE to keep the alliance going; instead, they have killed it.

Rowan will presumably continue as a singles act on Raw, but as for Harper? Who knows.
