Wrestlezone.com are reporting that The Undertaker is set for a series of surgeries on his right shoulder and his left hip. These are to repair the after effects of the brutal match that he had with CM Punk at last month's Wrestlemania 29 at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Despite this, The Deadman seems set for another match at next year's show. According to the report, he has told WWE Chairman Vince McMahon that he will indeed be at WrestleMania XXX, and also has some ideas for the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania. A source in the writing team member told the WrestleZone site:
"Taker would like to work with either John Cena or Brock Lesnar."
The Undertaker has worked with both of these men in the past, both to critical and fan acclaim. His Hell in a Cell match with Brock Lesnar in 2002 is still one of the most talked about matches of the late Attitude Era. While his brief feud with John Cena in 2003 helped establish the then rookie as a future top performer for the brand, then the company as its top face. Either one of these men would bring the new edge of experience and a freshness that we saw in a similar vein with this year's meeting with CM Punk. The Wrestlezone source continues to give insight into The Undertaker's feeling on The Shield, "Taker also has some ideas regarding The Shield. The whole scenario on Smackdown played out great, and Taker sees big money in those three." This is a refreshing tidbit of news for fans of the rebel group. It is is no secret that Taker has a great deal of pull and respect in the locker room and this is an amazing endorsement. Where is will lead I have no idea. One thing is sure, will we get at least one more match from the Deadman next year in New Orleans.
