No, you're not experiencing déjà vu (unless you think you're reading this for a third time): WWE are once more interested in luring Dalton Castle to Stamford (or more likely, Florida).

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that Vince McMahon has his sights set on the former Ring Of Honor champion, whose contract seems set to expire next year. Speaking on an episode of the Not Sam Wrestling podcast this January, Castle noted he had "another year left" on his ROH deal. He had previously signed an extension the previous June.

Just before signing that new contract, rumours abound that Castle was on WWE's radar - with Meltzer also reporting the possibility at the time.

After committing his future to the Sinclair group, Castle held the company's top title in his grasp from last December all the way to this June. He finally dropped the strap to Jay Lethal so he could take time off to recuperate from a back injury. He made his ROH return this past October.

Could now be the time for WWE to finally swoop for their long-term target? The way they are stockpiling talent in 2018, it would be no surprise whatsoever.
