TNA's BROKEN Matt Hardy is currently one of the most talked about characters in the wrestling world. Matt, his feud with brother Jeff and the 'Final Deletion' segments in TNA have been causing a real stir over these past six or so months and WWE higher-ups have been taking notice (the 'Delete' chants at recent WWE events clearly haven't been ignored).

According to the Wrestling Observer newsletter, WWE COO Triple H apparently wants Matt back in WWE once his contract expires next Spring. Hardy reportedly received feelers from Triple H/WWE through intermediaries but it remains to be seen whether or not he is interested in a return.

In TNA, Matt is given pretty much full creative control over his character and storylines and is allowed to make his own schedule. He's a popular act on the independent circuit and does well financially out of it. Given that several former WWE stars balked at the idea of returning to WWE for the brand split due to rumoured 'lowball' offers, it may not be in Matt's best interests to return.

WWE would likely want him to work a full-time schedule and would also want control over his character.

It should also be noted that Jeff Hardy's TNA contract expires in late February and he has expressed a desire to return to WWE for one final WrestleMania match, with his dream opponent being The Undertaker.
