WWE Legend Produces Top Raw Match This Week
A legendary figure stepped in to alleviate WWE's main roster producer shortage this Monday.
WWE icon Shawn Michaels helped out with this week's episode of WWE Raw on the production side, reports Fightful Select.
Along with Matt Bloom, the former Tensai/Albert, Michaels worked on Dolph Ziggler's NXT Championship defence against Bron Breakker, which saw Ziggler drop the strap to the second-generation star. This is a rare example of NXT staff working on a main roster match, though both men were already in Dallas, Texas for WrestleMania 38 weekend - including NXT Stand & Deliver last Friday.
Per Fightful, WWE has been short-handed when it comes to producers lately, as TJ 'Tyson Kidd' Wilson was on hiatus from January to March, Pat Buck has resigned, and D-Von Dudley suffered a stroke in February. Wilson's recent return to the fold should help alleviate things on that front.
A WWE trainer since 2016, Michaels' NXT role has been expanded since Triple H was hospitalised as a result of serious heart failure last September. Bloom, meanwhile, has served as NXT's head coach since March 2015.
Ziggler vs. Breakker II was a rematch from Stand & Deliver three nights prior, with Dolph winning the original clash to close that supercard.
