WWE Legend Shoots On Ronda Rousey's "Lack Of Commitment"
This WWE Hall Of Famer never felt like Ronda Rousey wanted to be in wrestling.
WWE Hall Of Famer and former WCW chief Eric Bischoff has questioned Ronda Rousey's "commitment" to pro wrestling.
Speaking via his '83 Weeks' podcast, Bisch said that Ronda clearly put in some effort to learn the fundamentals of the biz, but he's never personally felt like she really wanted to be in WWE. Instead, Eric believes Rousey looked at the promotion as "a great opportunity" at that time in her life back in 2018.
Since then, Ronda has clashed with company fans multiple times. Despite being cast as a top babyface early on, she's been booed heavily by live crowds on and off for years now. WWE eventually relented and turned Rousey heel.
Bischoff told his listeners that Ronda also "lost her mystique" after a humbling MMA defeat at the hands of Holly Holm on UFC's 193 card in November 2015. That was followed by another loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.
Rousey's main focus between 2018-2023 has been pro wrestling, but Eric isn't so sure that she's ever fully embraced the industry. He described her behaviour as someone "going through the motions" more than properly committing.
