7. Kofi Kingston and Big E Are A Really Fun Babyface Team

Goldust and Stardust may be WWE Tag Team champions but it was the duo of Kofi Kingston and Big E that left the greatest impression Sunday night. Fans have had the opportunity to see the duo partner up on television before but in those cases, they were heels. Recent attendees of WWE Live Events have seen the duo perform as babyfaces, working the likes of Slater Gator, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan and the bizarre championship brothers. While watching them work, it became abundantly clear just how fun they are to watch in the role. Kofi is a great sympathetic babyface. Much like Ricky Steamboat, he is the consummate good guy; the Superstar who simply cannot portray a convincing heel because he is such a great hero. Watching him get beat up on, double-teamed and punished by villains elicits such sympathy from the audience and leads to a scenario in which they are dying to see Big E get the hot tag and run over some fools. By working that formula, fans were treated to an emotional roller coaster ride that will only make for exciting and exhilarating televised tag team wrestling by the time the babyfaces finally make their debut. The double-team finish, which sees Big E lift his opponent up for the Big Ending, only to have Kofi come off the top with a big splash, enhancing the impact of the move, is a great addition to their arsenal. With Xavier Woods as the mouthpiece and occasional partner, expect to see team become a major player in the tag division when WWE Creative does finally debut them as a unit on television.
