Many a wrestling fan raised an eyebrow at the news that WWE was planning to have 30,000 fans in attendance for each day of WrestleMania 37. But now, 30,000 is only a drop in the ocean if the Wrestler Observer is to be believed.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s claimed WWE has decided that they want 45,000 people at Raymond James Stadium for each of ‘Mania 37’s two nights. Tampa officials held a meeting this past Wednesday, with representatives of local hotels and businesses informed that WWE plans to operate Raymond James Stadium at 75% capacity.

Given how the venue could’ve previously held 60,000 fans when taking into account the elaborate WWE stage setup, that means that Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment behemoth is looking at around 45,000 fans for each night of this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.

This past January saw NFL Super Bowl LV host 25,000 in-attendance fans from the same Raymond James Stadium locale. WWE being WWE, the belief was that they would be looking to top this figure by allowing 30,000 fans to attend – but now it looks like McMahon’s company is aiming even higher when it comes to that WrestleMania 37 number.

WrestleMania 37 takes place on 10-11 April, with tickets going on sale this coming Tuesday.
