WWE feel they have a chance at signing AEW EVP Kenny Omega.

That's right, according to a recent report from Fightful Select, The Land of All Elite's biggest rivals are keeping a very close eye on The Cleaner's contract situation.

Alongside WWE's interest in signing the current IWGP Untied States Heavyweight Champion, who has reportedly maintained a positive relationship with current head of WWE creative Triple H and the company in general, it was also noted in the report that AEW could potentially add time to Omega's current deal.

This is down to the fact that The Elite member was forced to sit out a decent chunk of his contract due to injury, with sources telling Fightful that they'd overheard AEW President Tony Khan talking about how Omega had substantial injury time that "could be" added to his current deal as an extension if the promotion opted to go down that road.

This is an option found in standard AEW deals, it was also confirmed.

But with Kenny being said to possess good representation, said injury extension isn't exactly a slam dunk and it may come with concessions for AEW should they choose to add that time. At time of writing, it was also explained that the injury time isn't believed to have been added to his deal yet.

Omega's deal was previously reported to be up in early 2023. Yet, it was also said that, despite allegations from AEW of contract tampering, WWE sources don't believe that this was the case with the former AEW World Champion.
