WWE Main Roster Newcomers Making BIG Impression After Successful Call-Ups (WWE News)
Fatal Influence trio Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid have changed recent WWE booking.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that Fatal Influence's great start on SmackDown has prompted WWE chiefs to shift some creative plans due to the intense reactions Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid have been receiving from live crowds.
During their write-up, Fightful/WrestleVotes noted: "[WWE] have rearranged some plans in the women's division to feature Jacy Jayne more prominently after the group's strong performances".
Thus far, since the group debuted on the 24 April episode of SmackDown, Jayne had had well-received matches vs. Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and as part of a 6-woman tag with Henley and Reid vs. Ripley, Flair and their partner Alexa Bliss.
WWE management has been impressed by Influence since calling them up from NXT, and it looks like they plan to give the faction an even bigger role going forwards. That bodes real well for Jayne individually, but it could have broader implications on the entire women's scene.
This wasn't included in the Fightful Select news item, but it's hardly unreasonable to suggest that Henley and Reid could challenge Paige and Brie Bella for the Women's Tag-Team belts sometime soon. During promos, Jacy had made a bit of noise about Influence taking over the division, so that'd make sense.
Meanwhile, she could go after the Women's Title or maybe even the Women's United States gold on SmackDown. Or both! Fans probably shouldn't rule anything out at this juncture.
Back to Fightful - they hinted that this early momentum should stand all 3 women in good stead as WWE rolls through the summer months.
