WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match For WWE Title - 4 Names Announced

By John Canton /

This week's Raw featured a major announcement as Stephanie McMahon and Triple H announced that Daniel Bryan is no longer the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Bryan wasn't even on Raw, but the two World Titles he was carrying around were hanging from the rafters during the entire Raw broadcast. It was announced on Raw that at Money in the Bank there would be a Ladder Match for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. There was no indication of how many people would be in the match, but we do know four names that are in for sure. Here are the qualifiers so far: Alberto Del Rio - He beat Dolph Ziggler in a match on last week's Raw, so he's in. It would be a big surprise if he won the ladder match. He didn't have a match at Payback and was absent at Raw. Randy Orton - He didn't beat anybody to get in. He was on vacation this week. Triple H named him as a participant based on his history. From a storyline standpoint you could say that Orton deserves it because he never got a rematch for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after he lost it at WrestleMania 30. Sheamus - He won a qualifying match over Bad News Barrett on Raw. As the current US Champ, it would seem unlikely that he would win the ladder match. However, he's a credible performer as a former WWE & World Champion. Cesaro - He made it in after beating Rob Van Dam on Raw. He's the only one that hasn't been a World Champion before. Cesaro was considered a favorite when there was going to be a briefcase on the line, but with the WWE WHC up for grabs is he still the favorite? Not sure. It depends on who else is in this match. It's still unknown as to whether or not there will be a second ladder match with the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase on the line although rumors are out there that say it will happen. We will continue to update when we have more updates on this match as well as the rest of the cart for the June 29th Money in the Bank pay-per-view event.
