While precisely nobody cared about the Ascension being the "mysterious" perpetrators of the attack on Tyler Breeze on SmackDown (and lots of people wanted American Alpha), the impromptu fight at least gave fans a chance to appreciate the genius of the Fashion Vice gimmick.

And their appearance also offered proof that strong gimmick work and promos CAN change perceptions of talents trying to claw themselves to relevance...

Is it not time WWE just went big on the Fashion Police gimmick and made that an actual thing?
