Big fan of WWE’s transparent attempt to create interest in 205 Live among the casual fanbase by very bizarrely giving Ariya Daivari a quasi-WrestleMania entrance.

More of this head-scratching, desperately dumb sh*t, please and thank you. Have Drew Gulak teach a seminar on technical wrestling to Tamina before arriving at the arena by helicopter. Make the Lucha House Party bust out of a gigantic piñata at Extreme Rules ahead of Kalisto’s umpteenth crack at a feature singles match, as his more talented stablemates have to pretend they are overjoyed.

In any event, Ariya Daivari, a capable if not outstanding performer, didn’t wrestle like a star. He bumped awkwardly from a Tony Nose hurricanrana but entered an otherwise proficient performance in a solid and forgettable match lacking completely in Buddy Murphy’s throat-grabbing piss and vinegar.
