As it stands, WWE is due to run its annual Money in the Bank PPV on Saturday 2 July from Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. However, that could well change due to the announcement of a huge UFC PPV event from Vegas on that same night.

Last night saw UFC confirm that they'll be hosting a PPV from Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena on 2 July, causing some to speculate whether WWE will have to switch Money in the Bank to an alternative date.

From Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE actually has a hold on Allegiant Stadium for Sunday 3 July, too, with Sapp indicating that Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut could opt to push its MITB show back by a day in order to avoid going head-to-head with UFC not only on PPV, but in the same city.

This year's Money in the Bank will be the first time in the event's history that it will emanate from an NFL stadium, with the venue the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. It will not be the first time that WWE has used the locale to host one of its shows, though, for last year's SummerSlam PPV took place from Allegiant Stadium.

That SummerSlam spectacle saw Roman Reigns successfully defend his Universal Championship against John Cena in the main event, whilst other notable moments were the return of Becky Lynch to dethrone Bianca Belair as SmackDown Women's Champion, Bobby Lashley retaining the WWE Title against Goldberg, Edge beating Seth Rollins, and title wins for Charlotte Flair, Damian Priest, and Team RK-Bro.
