WWE Night Of Champions 2025: 7 Nightmares That Could Come True
7. Karrion Kross Gets Treated Like A Jobber
Karrion Kross would top lists looking at the most undervalued workers currently on the WWE roster. He earned some fanfare for speaking his mind in worked shoot fashion during WrestleMania season, and has now landed himself a golden opportunity against one of the best (and most giving) names in the biz at Night Of Champions: Sami Zayn.
Sadly, although Sami is definitely the sort of pro who'd give Kross at least 50% of the match balance, that decision might well be taken out of his hands over in Saudi. That's why this entry is here, because there's a genuine concern that Karrion will end up looking more Main Event (the TV show!) than Monday Night Raw on the night.
Zayn might be instructed to totally demolish Kross and stare down a concerned Scarlett as he leaves. If that happens, and it really shouldn't, then Karrion is dead in the water as somebody credible fans tuning into TV are going to care about. Yes, everybody needs to lose and nobody can be Goldberg from 1997 WCW forever, but it's often the manner in which a wrestler loses that people focus on.
For Karrion, it's imperative that he's allowed to look competitive in there against an upper-midcard stalwart like Sami. He's also the bigger man and relies on intimidation to sell his threat during bouts, so here's hoping this isn't a mere PLE payoff without long term progression for Kross.
Not many will trust WWE with this one until they see something other than false dawns for the guy. Go to bat for him, Zayn!
