WWE NXT Brand Hit By Another COVID-19 Outbreak
Major changes being made to this week's NXT broadcast due to a COVID-19 breakout.
Following several similar situations across the past year, WWE’s NXT brand is believed to be in the middle of yet another COVID-19 outbreak.
As reported by FightfulSelect, significant changes will be made to this week’s NXT broadcast, with several talents having been pulled from the show and told to quarantine.
Many had feared that another such breakout could take place following a meeting last Thursday. That meeting required plentiful WWE Performance Center trainees to attend, and reports claim that several people in attendance weren’t following COVID-19 precautions. As a direct result of that, certain talent had been informed to quarantine themselves.
Additionally, Dave Meltzer took to Twitter to state that the NXT brand has featured “lots of positive tests” recently.
At this stage, it’s not known which names have been pulled from this Wednesday’s show, but the card for this week’s NXT offering currently stands at:
- Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa vs. Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner
- Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott vs. Leon Ruff
- Austin Theory vs. Dexter Lumis
- The NXT in-ring debut of LA Knight
- NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin’s return to the NXT brand
