Damon Kemp was amongst a group of wrestlers pinpointed for long-term WWE success upon entering the company.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, who reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that along with The Creed Brothers and Bron Breakker, he had been told that the Diamond Mine member was a "hard worker" who was "going to make it."

Kemp has been a regular on WWE television since December 2021, when he debuted in a defeat to Andre Chase on the now-defunct 205 Live brand. He has since found an NXT home alongside The Creed Brothers, Ivy Nile, and Roderick Strong in Diamond Mine, having signed with the promotion in August 2021.

The 23-year-old brought significant athletic pedigree to the promotion, having competed as an amateur wrestler for the University of Minnesota prior to making the jump. His brother, Gable Steveson, has been continually tipped for greatness since joining WWE one month after his brother. There is currently no word on when Gable might become a regular pro wrestling fixture, with recent chatter suggesting the Olympic gold medalist is considering returning to college for another wrestling season.

Diamond Mine stable leader Strong faced Kemp one-on-one on this week's NXT 2.0, defeating his student to teach him a lesson.
