WWE's biggest weekend of the year just got even bigger. It was revealed by Triple H on his Twitter account that WWE's wildly popular developmental territory, NXT, will be holding one of their quarterly TakeOver specials during WrestleMania weekend in Dallas, TX. NXT TakeOver: Dallas is scheduled for Friday, April 1st, 2016 (two days before WrestleMania 32). https://twitter.com/TripleH/status/675706744660709376 WWE.com has now confirmed that the show will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas. The capacity of the convention center is approximately 10,000, so the show will not top the attendance for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn during SummerSlam weekend this past August. It's interesting to note that WWE didn't book the American Airlines Center (home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars) for the event. The American Airlines Center will host the RAW following WrestleMania on April 4th, and it looks to be open of events on April 1st. Both the Stars and Mavericks are on road trips at that time, and no concerts or other events are listed on the venue's calendar over the weekend. With upwards of 70,000 wrestling fans expected in Dallas for WrestleMania weekend, selling out the American Airlines Center for a highly anticipated NXT show definitely wouldn't have been a problem for WWE. It also would have made it the largest attended NXT show in history, though renting the venue for a second night would have obviously been more pricey than booking the smaller Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
