WWE NXT Viewership Tops 800,000 For 4th Week In A Row
Another unopposed week, another ratings success for NXT.
Running unopposed continues to yield palpable benefits for WWE NXT, with this week's show topping 800,000 viewers for the fourth consecutive episode.
This week's Labor Day holiday in the United States meant there was a delay in the numbers coming through this week. Figures we would have expected on Wednesday didn't come through until Thursday, but they read well for WWE's black and gold brand, which continues to bat well above its 2020 average without AEW Dynamite as competition.
NXT came through with an average viewership of 838,000 for Super Tuesday (8 September). This is down slightly on the previous week's 849,000, but still represents a considerable success for a show that was typically finishing somewhere between 600,000 and 750,000 when going head-to-head. The figure makes Super Tuesday the third most-watched NXT show of the year.
There was a dip on the 18-49 demographic as well, with the rating dropping from the previous week's 0.26 to 0.22. Again, this is still higher than NXT's six-month average.
NXT faced stern competition from the NBA this week, with one game drawing 4.65 million viewers against the WWE show's second hour, making these numbers a considerable triumph.
