Despite the billing, it doesn't look like many people really enjoyed the House of Horrors match in the traditional sense. It happened, it captivated for several reasons, but it wasn't really true entertainment. Maybe that's why it wasn't the main event? Or the opening match, come to think of it.
But there were genuinely some who enjoyed it, and what it could mean...
If you think back, the Final Deletion wasn't exactly universally loved either... Cough.
But come on now, isn't this all a little suspiciously similar? Hopefully, Matt Hardy was at least invited into the booking meeting, as a cursory gesture...
In truth, this was exactly the kind of match that WWE fans love to riff on, and if the agenda was to get them talking, this was absolutely successful. It might just be wise to ignore the substance of the majority of what was said and concentrate on the general feeling that it was entertaining.
One thing was still missing though...
