It might have been a shame to see Bayley lose - particularly in front of a home crowd so behind her - but seeing Alexa Bliss win is no bad thing either, and it definitely looks like her fans are out in force on social media, impressed not only with her but with the match itself.
Considering the silliness that followed, having a traditionally great match was a good way for this to go.
Even if Alexa "making history" might have been a little over-sold...
WWE ought to take a leaf out of its own book sometimes: in the end, it's chemistry that sells good matches, not monstrous acts, odd gimmicks or merchandise sellers going over. Two people - like Bayley and Alexa and like Neville and Austin Aries - who know how to dance. Also, to that same end, you can't ignore what Bayley did.
Plus, an intelligent ending, for once...
