It's only been a week since WWE got innovative and brought the ThunderDome to SummerSlam, but that didn't stop the company from reviving Payback this Sunday to give fans a second PPV in a week.
The first of its kind since 2017, the event's return worried some of the WWE Universe simply because it was unnervingly close to the Biggest Event of the Summer, but the-powers-that-be went full-steam ahead with the revival anyway.
A night that saw Roman Reigns return to action for the first time in six months, the Big Dog made a late entrance and demolished Braun Strowman to win the Universal Championship, taking the belt away from 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt and kicking off a new era as a heel champion. Meanwhile, Sasha Banks and Bayley defended their Tag Team Titles against the very formidable team of Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax and Keith Lee took on the 'Legend Killer' Randy Orton in a rematch that proved he was destined for greatness.
