WWE Payback 2020: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
4. Randy Orton Vs. Keith Lee
Result: Lee kills Orton with the Spirit Bomb for the win (6:40).
Rating: Nobody can be faulted for wishing we got a highly competitive 20-minute slugfest out of this, but the trade-off is that this surprisingly short match proved just how high Keith Lee's stock is in the company.
Regardless, Lee and Orton made motivated use of their short ring time, with Orton actually showing up and bumping his ass off for Lee's hard-hitting offense.
If there were any worries about Lee losing his shine on the main roster - and there certainly were - such a persuasive victory over one of the roster's finest is incredibly encouraging.
Not a great match by any means, but it did exactly what it needed to from a storytelling perspective, and was fun while it lasted. 6/10
