WWE's training facility joined a swathe of other Floridian businesses in shuttering due to obvious safety concerns as the storm made landfall in the state. There is currently no word on when WWE plans on reopening it.

Hurricane Ian hit the United States at around 3:05 PM ET yesterday, doing so as a Category 4 storm with winds nearing 150 MPH. The storm had been nearing Category 5 status as it closed in on the Floridian coastline.

The hurricane has had a devastating impact on the areas in its path, leaving around two million people without power. Florida has been hit with high winds, storm surges, and severe flooding as a consequence. US Border Patrol, meanwhile, is currently searching for approximately 23 migrants who have gone missing after a ship transporting them sank after getting caught in the hurricane.

WWE has already postponed a couple of NXT house shows scheduled to take place in Florida this week, doing so as a consequence of Hurricane Ian. Events in Tampa and Dade City have been rescheduled for 17 December and 11 November respectively
