The fourth installment of WWE's excellent Undertaker documentary The Last Ride chronicled The Dead Man's disastrous dream-match-turned-into-nightmare with Goldberg at last year's Super ShowDown, and his subsequent, seemingly never-ending saga to bow out with one last, great contest.

Had WWE went with their original plans for the event, 'Taker may have already been well out of sight. Maybe.

Ahead of the Saudi Arabia show, The Undertaker made his comeback with a post-WrestleMania beatdown on Raw songster Elias, after which the pair met in a Madison Square Garden six-man. For all intents and purposes, it seemed as though the Phenom and the troubadour would collide one on one at the upcoming Super ShowDown.

Obviously that never happened, with WWE instead going with the big money match between 'Taker and Goldberg. According to the displaced man himself - posting to Instagram following The Last Ride: Part 4 - Elias was originally going to face the veteran in Riyadh:

"Elias v Undertaker was set to happen in Saudi shortly after this segment. Everything about this night was electric. THINGS CHANGED. Myself and The Deadman have crossed paths multiple times since I've been here, and I hope it's not the last."

It's impossible to say whether this would have been the dream send-off Undertaker hoped for, but at the very least, Elias probably wouldn't have dropped him straight on his head. It seems this match will almost certainly remain a fantasy for the singer now.
