It looks like Edge could be bringing in some on-screen reinforcements very soon.
With The Rated R Superstar recently turning heel for the first time since returning to WWE television in 2020, the multiple-time World Champion has reinvented himself somewhat as a purple-soaked pain in the ass. And while his incoming clash with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38 looks set to be a Phenomenal one, it appears this is just the start of a bold new chapter in the WWE Hall of Famer's career.
According to Fightful Select, WWE are considering forming a new faction with a heelish Edge leading the charge, with names like Damian Priest being linked to the potential group of baddies. Though still in the pitching stage as of writing, it was said that the pieces falling into place on-screen for said unit of heels could "begin to happen imminently" unless plans change, of course.
The tireless veteran has made his desire to advise and assist the next generation clear since the minute he decided to step back into this barmy world of Sports Entertainment. So, having him take a few up-and-coming names under his sadistic wing in the coming months could help him do precisely that whilst also producing some no-doubt captivating TV.
