Alexa Bliss' current WWE Raw storyline may conclude in the multi-time Women's Champion returning to an old gimmick.

As if this wasn't clear enough from Bliss' therapy segments, which have now been airing weekly for three consecutive weeks, WWE has filed a trademark application for 'The Goddess' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Filed on 19 January, the mark is to be used for the following purposes:-

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely, blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

While there hasn't been confirming that this application links directly to Bliss, Alexa previously went by 'The Goddess of WWE' as a nickname prior to transitioning into her current Fiend-adjacent form. Said gimmick change was one of WWE's most divisive in years, particularly when Bliss adopted a possessed toy doll, Lilly, as her sidekick.

Bliss' therapy segments have made several references to Lilly, who was destroyed by Charlotte Flair at Extreme Rules 2021. Whether the doll is to make a full-on comeback is yet to be determined.

Alexa last wrestled at the aforementioned pay-per-view on 26 September 2021. Taking time off to undergo sinus surgery, it appears her in-ring return is drawing closer.
