WWE Planning The Fiend & Alexa Bliss Teaming At WrestleMania 37?
Could Wyatt and Alexa team up to face off against two WWE Hall of Famers?
Having become an on-screen act in recent weeks, it appears that we could well see ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss teaming up at next year’s WrestleMania.
According to the usually reliable WrestleVotes, internal WWE discussions have suggested having Wyatt and Bliss team up at the 2021 edition of the company’s annual Showcase of the Immortals.
This comes hot on the heels of WrestleVotes reporting that Bray Wyatt vs. Edge is a match that’s been talked about for WrestleMania 37, and this latest nuance suggests that one option would actually be to have The Fiend and Alexa Bliss teaming to face off against Edge and Beth Phoenix in a mixed tag bout.
Edge and Beth are, of course, real-life man and wife, are both WWE Hall of Famers, and are both these days back in the WWF fold – Edge having returned to in-ring action at this year’s Royal Rumble PPV, while Phoenix is killing it as part of the NXT announce team and can very much still go between the ropes.
Despite this latest story, it’s believed that the most likely WrestleMania 37 plan is still actually Edge vs. Randy Orton – with Edge vs. Bray Wyatt and Edge/Beth vs. Wyatt/Bliss merely other options that have been under discussion recently.
If previous reports are to believed, at one point WrestleMania 37 was looking like being Orton defending the WWE Championship against the Rated-R Superstar. Given how Randal Keith lost the gold to Drew McIntyre just last night, who knows where that leaves things for any potential Orton/Edge WrestleMania rematch being for the WWE Title.
