Despite or because of this, Trump has remained at the top of the polling for the GOP nomination for president. But Donald Trump is also a WWE Hall of Famer, inducted in 2013. Trump has a long history of involvement with WWF/E, with his Trump Plaza hosting WrestleManias IV and V. He co-headlined WrestleMania XXIII in the Battle of the Billionaires against Vince McMahon (with Bobby Lashley and Umaga acting as in-ring stand-ins). And Tump briefly bought Monday Night Raw from McMahon. Trumps repeated comments directed against Muslims, women and others could (and perhaps should) easily be compared to the off-color remarks of another WWE Hall of Famer, albeit one who has made a much bigger contribution to professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan. Earlier this year, Hogan was ostracized from WWE, removed from the companys Hall of Fame listing, with all references to him scrubbed from programming and other platforms. Why should WWE continue to honor Trump, whose very public comments while seeking the highest elected office in America, as a Hall of Famer, while removing Hogan for private comments he made that were secretly recorded?
