The new WWE World Heavyweight Unified Champion of the Universe Randy Orton has what on the face of it seems like a pretty simple path to Wrestlemania. Retain the title til the big dance, then lose it to whichever babyface they decide to oppose him with. However, there is no doubt that Orton hasn't exactly been booked strong- even for a heel and his promo work has not improved much at all since he made the heel turn- a bit of a liability when one considers that as champion, the apex predator is expected to say something. Furthermore, if the Heyman tweet has any legs to it (which is, admittedly, is a long shot), the WWE may have Lesnar up its sleeve as a bigger, badder enemy for someone to face at Wrestlemania (I mean, making Orton tap would be good, but imagine if Bryan or Punk made Lesnar tap?). The problem with this theory is that while Orton is by no means the most compelling heel in WWE history, where does he fit on the card should he drop the title? He might be able to turn on his former employers in the Authority, but Triple H vs Orton has been done to death. So, at the moment at least it seems that Orton is destined to be part of a headline match on the grandest stage of them all.
