WWE Power Rankings - May 10th 2014

By Philip Frazer /

This past Sunday was the first pay-per-view event since WrestleMania XXX and it didn't disappoint. With an entertaining card all round with a great triple header for Extreme Rules, WWE have kept up their strong momentum they have built up during the past month. The following week of television was centred around building up towards Payback but unfortunately it was done by continuing all of the existing rivalries. No new programs were established and in many cases not even a new dynamic. That's not to say it was all bad on TV this week, far from it, but there was an overwhelming sense of familiarity that makes it feel like the next month could be considerably less exciting than last months. WWE has a big job on their hands to sell Payback as it is currently feeling like it is heading towards being a re-run of Extreme Rules under new stipulations. Of course, things can change before the event. This week already there are two new champions (more on that later) that will presumably see two fresh matches to build towards, alongside some new challengers for the champions who remain (besides Daniel Bryan). Here we take a look back at the past seven days of WWE to see who were the power players of the event and its fallout. Who were the ten acts who had the best week? Let's take a look at the rankings in the weekly WWE Power 10.
